Being the President of my alma mater and what I truly believe is the best high school in Cleveland is not something I take lightly. I realize how blessed I am to be among students, staff, families and supporters who care so much about Trinity High School.
We are so proud of Trinity's long history, dating back to 1926 when St. Joseph Academy in the Marymount Convent building, continuing on through its renaming as Marymount High School in 1939, and its subsequent move to the current building in 1957, and then the transformation to a Catholic co-eductional school in 1973, Trinity High School. Guided by a faith in God, our almost five decade history as THS has seen many developments along the way.
We have seen almost five decades of graduating classes go on to successful careers and raise beautiful families, state championship banners raised inside Godlewski Gymnasium, incredible performances by our drama students, a ministry program that is the envy of every other school in Northeast Ohio, and so much more. We have laughed as well as cried together, cheered our students as one big Trojans family, and developed our young men and women into servant leaders, critical thinkers and life-long learners. In 2009 our leadership team had the foresight to launch our transformative Pre-Professional Internship Program. This program, along with our challenging college prep curriculum, has our students fully prepared for college and career success when they leave the halls of Trinity.
We all look forward to what the next five decades will bring, and seeing the growth of our students as they spend their most formidable years in our community. We thank each and every one of you for being such a significant part of the Trinity family. No great venture is ever the work of only a few, it is the result of many hearts and minds working together. With the guidance of God, I am so excited to see how Trinity affects so many lives for many more decades throughout Northeast Ohio.
God bless,
Mr. William Svoboda
