It was a beautiful reminder that before we can lead our students closer to Christ through our one of a kind, life-changing retreat program, we must first continue growing in our own faith.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: start;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">They will continue to dive even deeper into prayer, reflection, and formation, seeking God’s guidance as we prepare for another school year and another year of retreats adding to our 40 year retreat legacy.. We are grateful for educators who answer the call to serve with both their hearts and their faith, ensuring that every student who walks through Trinity’s doors is supported not only academically, but spiritually.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: start;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Please keep our retreat team in your prayers as we continue this journey together. I love teaching history and have been in education for over 30 years. I also love to travel and have been on two trips to Europe that focused on World War 2 History. I also love Disney and Universal Studios. </span></p><p class="editor-paragraph" style="text-align: start;"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">My wife is Kristin Saban and we have been married for 29 years. We have a son named Logan who will be starting his second year at Ohio University. He is studying Mechanical Engineering. I also love coaching football and am very excited to be joining the Trinity Faimily</span></p>

He graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Cybersecurity and enjoys helping students learn how technology can be used to solve problems.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Outside the classroom, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and visiting National Parks. He is also a multi-instrument musician who writes and records his own music.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Alex is always exploring new ideas and skills, and he looks forward to bringing that curiosity into the classroom while helping Trinity students discover new interests through technology.</span></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><br></p><p class="editor-paragraph"><br></p>

Welcome to Mr. Tom Urig!</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mr. Urig is joining the History department at Trinity High School. He started his teaching career in 2018 for the Gaston County Schools teaching American History I &amp; II at Hunter Huss High for one school year before being transferred to Ashbrook High both in Gastonia, NC where he also taught civics &amp; econ and law and related studies.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">After the 2020-21 school year, he was the building and long-term English 11 substitute at Constellation Schools: Parma Community High School. He finished the school year as a long-term world history substitute teacher at Holy Name. Since 2022, he had been a full-time social studies teacher at Constellation Schools: Parma Community High School where he taught world history, American history, geography, psychology, and introduced and taught African American history.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">He also brings coaching experience and acting to Trinity. While at Ashbrook, he was the football and boys' basketball staffs, and coached baseball for two seasons at Avon Lake High School. He also made an acting appearance as Mr. Herron &amp; Mr. Buck for Pama Community's production for Mean Girls.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mr. Urig is a native of Avon Lake and graduated from ALHS in 1997. After high school, he enrolled at Lorain County Community College where he earned his associates of arts degree in 2002, &amp; he started working full-time for United Garage Door in Cleveland.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">He and his wife have been married since 2005 and have 5 nieces and 3 nephews. The couple moved from their home in Cleveland to Charlotte, NC 2008 where he found work in accounting, outside sales, and customer service before he enrolled in Belmont Abbey College's adult degree program in 2014. He earned his bachelor's degree in history in 2016.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">After two school years as a substitute, he returned to Belmont Abbey College to take the education courses he needed for his teaching license in North Carolina.</span><br><br><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Mr. Urig is a sports fan, enjoys playing golf, and attending after school activities. He is looking forward to growing in both his profession and in his faith during his time at Trinity High School.</span></p>
