Trinity High School Unveils New Athletics Logos
Garfield Hts, OH – August 3, 2023
For Immediate Release
Trinity High School today unveiled new primary and secondary logomarks for the school’s athletic programs. The reveal comes as Trinity prepares to commemorate 50 years as a co-educational institution during the 2023-24 school year.
Last updated with the “Double-T” logo in 2010 the reveal marks Trinity High School’s return to having a Trojan head icon serve as the primary mark for athletics, which was more prominently featured from 1973- 2009.
While the new logos feature details reminiscent of Trojan heads of old, the modern iteration of the logo is the school’s first completely custom logomark.
“With Trinity’s commitment to a unique and formative student experience, and a track for aspiring graphic designers to excel at the high school level, it was fitting that the school’s brand visually represented that unique experience,” commented Trinity’s Director of Graphic Design, Eddie Marotta.
The Trojan Head will serve as Trinity’s primary athletics logomark, with a secondary version of the logo adding the school’s wordmark and nickname for external usage. Trinity’s current “Double T” will still be in-use as a secondary mark for athletics.
"This logo is a fresh, new look that coincides perfectly with our 50th anniversary as a co-educational Catholic School giving our students a renewed sense of Trojan pride,” said Tony SanFilippo, Athletic Director of Trinity High School.
With a new primary logomark and wordmark, a secondary logomark was created to continue building a cohesive brand identity. The secondary logomark provides viewers with an alternative angle of the mascot depicted in the Trinity’s new primary logomark.
President and Principal, Mr. William Svoboda is extremely pleased with the new logo saying, “I am so proud to have been actively involved for 46 of the last 50 years here at my beloved alma mater so I am so excited to see this new logo unveiled as we celebrate our 50th anniversary. Each year we remain competitive with our co-curricular athletic teams and we always strive toward growth so this new logo serves as yet another “fitting response” as our school continues to grow and establish it’s lasting legacy.”
Modifications to Trinity’s athletic visual identity will be made in the coming days, months, and years to reflect the school’s exciting new look.
