Schedule Change Policy
Teacher schedules and the number of class sections offered are determined by the number of students who request a course. If a student decides during the first two weeks of each term (August/January) to change a course request/class schedule, a fee of $50 will be charged if the change can be accommodated. No fee will be incurred if the teacher or guidance counselor determines the change to be in the student's best interest. No changes will be made after the first two weeks of each term.
Curriculum
As a comprehensive high school, Trinity offers an academic program designed to meet the educational needs of students with varying abilities. Instructional plans generally follow three patterns: advanced placement, honors, or standard.
President's Award for Educational Excellence
Honoring student achievement and hard work is the purpose of the President's Education Awards Program. Since 1983, the program has provided individual recognition to those graduating seniors whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence.
At the conclusion of each school year, seniors who have met the requirements of this award are recognized at the annual Scholastic Awards Convocation with a certificate from the President and the United States Secretary of Education. The criteria are as follows:
- Accumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher (7 semesters; on a 4.0 non-weighted scale)
- A score in the 85th percentile or higher in ONE of the following National tests:
- Math: ACT: 25/SAT: 620
- Reading: ACT: 28
- EBRW: SAT: 620
