Throughout the holiday season, Trinity High School participates in many service opportunities and ensures both our faculty and our students are kept busy and generally taken care of.
At the end of November, our Consumer Science Class always spends a full week preparing a feast for all of our faculty and staff with the help of a few elves including ’81 grad Ms. Margaret Mullen Jacobs who also happens to be the mother of current Trinity teacher, Ms. Meaghan Jacobs.
This year, Margaret’s employer, the American Endowment Foundation, allotted her a volunteer day to spend in the kitchen with our students to better understand the unique backgrounds they come from and include some of their traditional foods like collard greens which were added to this year’s meal!
Although Ms. Margaret Jacobs has volunteered in the past, this year she took a look at our kids from a different perspective as Ms. Meaghan Jacobs strives to start a new After School dinner club for all our students.
Trinity would like to thank The American Endowment Foundation for always allowing Ms. Jacobs time over the holidays to spend here at our school. The American Endowment Foundation is an organization that is committed to making it easy for their clients to do business by providing responsive, accurate, and consistent service. They create trusting relationships, anticipate their clients’ needs, set clear expectations, and make their internal and external clients feel valued.
The organization’s guiding principles include:
Accountability – taking ownership, following through and completing the job

And…they obviously encourage these same values in their employees which always shines bright at Trinity this time of year!
