"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." -Matthew 25:40

At Trinity, getting into the Christmas spirit means giving back to the community. One of the ways our students are helping those less fortunate is through our Stockings for Christ Advent service project. The items collected will go in Christmas stockings that will be distributed to the needy at the West Side Catholic Center.

Between now and December 12, students are asked to bring in a variety of donations. Since the project is tied to our Trinity Cup class competition, students will receive points for items they bring in:

  • 1 Point: Non-perishable, easy-to-eat food staples: crackers, energy bars, Nutri-Grain Bars, etc.
  • 2 Points: Everyday necessities: deodorant, ChapStick, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, body wash, other toiletries, etc.
  • 5 Points: New winter clothing: mittens, scarves, gloves, hats, socks, etc.

Donate a minimum of $5 in the form of cash, a restaurant gift card (McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, Wendy's etc.) to reach your Trinity Cup class goal! The class that collects the most money will earn an extra 90 points toward their total, second place earns 30 points and third place earns 10. Drop off all donations in your class box located in Mrs. Dezzutti's room, 109.

In recent years the Trinity Family has rallied around this service project, delivering over 80 stuffed stockings and hundreds of dollars in gift cards each year to the West Side Catholic Center! If you would like to make a donation to Stockings for Christ, please contact Mr. Aaron Calton for details. Thank you for your generosity!
