Cleveland Art Museum - Curatorial Department | Text Code: ArtMus-Cur
Interns in the curatorial department for the Cleveland Museum of Art assist with day to day administration tasks. The curatorial department consists of many sub-divisions; medieval art, painting and sculpture, prints and drawings, textiles, contemporary art, decorative arts, and Asian art. Day to day tasks will include, filing, scanning, photocopying, and occasionally research work in the library. In addition to basic administrative work they will also need to complete a final project in which they create their own virtual exhibition. This project will involve visiting the galleries and selecting objects from Cleveland as well as other institutions. A theme will need to be developed as well as the design and layout of the exhibition. This project will culminate with a presentation at the end of the school year of their exhibition.
