On Thursday, January 21, a group of more than 50 students and faculty members from Trinity will join Pro-Life advocates in Washington, D.C. to call upon the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling of Roe v. Wade.
The group will gather late Thursday night for a memorial prayer service before they travel through the night to our nation's capitol where they will participate in the Sanctity of Life Mass at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, join the Rally for Life at the National Mall, and walk in the March for Life.
Trinity's campus ministry team has set up a memorial for the victims of abortion in the school's front lawn.
"The memorial raises awareness that every year in the United States, 1.2 million children lose their life to abortion," said Mr. Scott Plescia, the faculty leader of Trinity's Pro-Life Week activities. "What started four years ago as a small group of students attending the March for Life, has now become a part of Trinity's dynamic ministry program."
The March for Life attracts approximately 200,000 people from around the country each year.
