Schuplinski Heads in a New Direction
Trinity High School Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Jerry Schuplinski has announced he will leave at the end of the school year to accept a position as an Assistant Football Coach at Case Western Reserve University.

"Trinity is and always will be a part of my life," Schuplinski said. "I am extremely thankful for the opportunities I have been given here. I was fortunate enough to work in a great environment and build relationships with many people."

As an Assistant Football Coach, Schuplinski will work with Coach Greg Debeljak, with whom he worked with at John Carroll as a graduate assistant. The Spartans are heading into the 2008 season coming off an undefeated regular season and their first ever playoff victory.

"I am extremely excited about this opportunity to work at Case Western Reserve and with Coach Debeljak, but also sad to leave behind many memories at Trinity. I am thankful to the administration, coaches, parents, and players and wish them the best as Trinity continues to succeed well into the future."

Paul Prospal has been named Trinity High School's new Athletic Director and will work with Schuplinski to provide a well-organized ending of this athletic season and a seamless transition into the next one.

"Paul's experiences in athletics and his passion for the Trinity community will allow him to do a great job in guiding the future of the program," Schuplinski said.

As Athletic Director, Prospal will manage Trinity's stellar athletic program, which includes 15 freshman, junior varsity, and varsity women's and men's sports.

A graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in agriculture, specializing in turf grass management, Prospal has been a member of the Trinity faculty since 2000. In addition to his work in the classroom, Prospal has coached several sports including baseball, basketball, and golf.

Prospal has been a member of the Trojan basketball coaching staff for eleven years, the last two years serving as head coach. Under his leadership, the Trojans baseball team reached the sweet sixteen in the state Division III tournament in 2006.

"I am looking forward to the challenge of leading the athletic department as we transition into the new educational initiative," Prospal said. "This is a very exciting time for Trinity and I am ready to guide Trinity athletics into the future."

Prospal is also involved in Trinity's popular retreat program, and he shares his faith-filled attitude with players and students alike.

"Paul Prospal has always been willing to do whatever is needed for the good of Trinity High School," said Principal Carla Fritsch. "We are pleased that Paul is willing to accept this new role and responsibility. Our athletic program will thrive under his expert direction."
