Freshmen and their parents are reminded about the meeting on Tuesday, February 7, where they will learn more about the different tracks of Trinity's pre-Professional Internship Program. Representatives from each track (health care, graphic design, and information management and system design) will be on-hand to answer specifc questions about each program.

The meeting begins at 7:30 PM in the Gym. Students are encouraged to attend with their parents. Contact Mrs. Barb Dottore, Internship Coodinator, at 216-581-5749.

 
On Tuesday, February 7, students in Ms. Nancy Barile's Calculus class will participate in the American Mathematics Competition.

The annual competition is a way of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of our nation's youth, and helps to identify, recognize and reward excellence in mathematics through a series of national contests. Students who earn the highest scores in this first competition will move on to another series of competitions.

Members of the Ambassador Club are invited to wear their "we represent" t-shirts to school on Friday, February 10. This will help our school community identify the many hardworking and dedicated students who help recruit quality Trinity High School Students!

ACT Action at THS is a four-session, eight-hour program that allows students to:
  • Understand test structure, organization, and requirements
  • Practice test-taking skills
  • Acquire test-taking tips that increase the chance of higher achievement
  • Compare test scores with requirements of major universities
  • Discover important on-line resources for test preparation

Attention Hunger Center Volunteers: We are scheduled to work at Holy Spirit on February 15, 22 and 29. Please check your calendars to see when you are available to work. Sign-up sheets are posted on the door of Room 104.
 
Marymount Hospital is looking for volunteers to work their Open House on Saturday, March 10, from 12:00-3:00 PM. There will be games and activities for the guests. If you are interested, please see Mr. SanFilippo or Mrs. Dottore.
 
Unity Catholic Federal Credit Union at St. Charles Catholic Church is offering five $1,000 high school scholarships for students 9th through 12th grade.

The scholarships awarded will be by a random drawing, and all scholarship funds will be paid directly to the school listed on the application on behalf of the child. All applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Unity Catholic Federal Credit Union at the time the
  • Scholarship Application is submitted. Credit Union Membership Applications are available at any credit union office.
  • Applicants must be attending a Catholic school.
  • Limit one scholarship application per student.

Applications are now being accepted from current juniors and seniors for the B. Davis Scholarship. The scholarship amount is $1,000. To apply, you must write a 1,000 word essay on a given topic. If interested, please see Mrs. Wisinski prior to the May 28 deadline.
