The Diocese of Cleveland's Office of Catechetical Formation and Education offers need-based financial assistance. The programs outlined below are sponsored by the Diocese of Cleveland, not Trinity High School. Please pay special attention to the fact that all Diocesan financial assistance programs require families to complete a FACTS Grant and Aid application in order to evaluate financial need. More information about the FACTS application is presented below.

+ Diocesan Tuition Assistance and FACTS
The Diocese of Cleveland's Office of Catechetical Formation and Education offers need-based financial assistance. Families who complete a FACTS Grant and Aid application for Trinity will automatically be evaluated for financial assistance from the diocese.

When to Apply
Beginning in January, families may complete a FACTS application to be evaluated for financial assistance from the diocese.

Deadlines and Award Notification
Diocesan tuition assistance is evaluated in two rounds. The application deadline for round one is March 1 and the deadline for round two is June 1. Families are notified in May or July, respectively, if assistance has been awarded. The Diocese awards 80 percent of available funds in the first round. No Diocesan funds will be available after June 1. Families with eighth graders who complete a FACTS application in the fall are automatically evaluated in the first round for diocesan tuition assistance. It is not necessary to complete a second FACTS application.

In addition to Diocesan Tuition Assistance, some parishes/schools award "local" tuition assistance, meaning the funds are awarded from the parish/school. Please check with your individual parish/school to see if they require a separate FACTS application for local tuition assistance.

A link to the online FACTS Grant and Aid application will be posted here after the first of the year.

+ The Bishops' Scholarship for Excellence
The Catholic Education Endowment Trust (CEET) was established in 1976 by the Cleveland Catholic Diocese to promote Catholic education, provide support for religious education programs, and to offer tuition-aid scholarships to families with financial need who desired a Catholic education for their children. As part of this initiative, CEET sponsors a scholarship program to encourage the pursuit of excellence in Catholic education. This program is the Bishops' Scholarship for Excellence.

More information about the Bishops' Scholarship for Excellence application will be available here after the first of the year.

+ Geis Scholars Program
History
The Geis Family Education Endowment Fund
was established in December 2010 to ensure qualifying students are provided access to quality, Catholic education regardless of their ability to pay. The first Geis Scholars scholarships were awarded in the 2011-2012 academic year. The Erwin & Katherine Geis family has a long history of supporting Catholic ministries, and established this Fund as a lasting legacy to this family's commitment to providing a quality, Catholic education to eligible students.

Purpose
To provide academic scholarships, with opportunity for annual renewal, to students enrolled in Catholic high schools located in Cuyahoga County, Diocese of Cleveland, who have demonstrated financial need and record of academic success.

Scholarship
Academic scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded to students meeting the criteria cited below, with an opportunity for annual renewal with evidence of sustained excellence in faith, academics, community service and positive peer relationships. A total of ten scholarships are awarded annually.

More information about the Geis Scholars Program application will be available here after the first of the year.
